Delete your data

English Talk (the Android app and englishtalk.app) has no accounts. Everything we keep is linked only to a random anonymous ID made on your phone or browser, never to a name, email or phone number. Here is how to delete it.

1. Delete a chat yourself (instant)

Open Chats, open the chat, tap the ⋮ menu and choose Delete chat. The chat and all its messages are removed from our server for both people.

2. Delete everything else (by email)

Open the app or englishtalk.app/talk and go to the Me tab. Note your name shown at the top, for example Learner 4821.
Email info@2bytes.in with the subject "Delete my data", that Learner name, and roughly when you last used English Talk (so we find the right ID). If you bought Pro on the website, add your Razorpay payment ID too.
We delete your data within 30 days and reply to confirm.

What we delete

Your chat messages and chat requests
Records of your calls (anonymous IDs, time, length, 👍/👎 rating)
Your notification token and language
Where the app was installed from
Your Pro status on our server

What we keep

Payment records (payment ID, amount, date) for website Pro purchases, for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Reports other people made about abuse, for up to 1 year, to keep the community safe.

Data on your phone

Your gender, points, level progress and settings are stored only on your phone or in your browser. Uninstall the app, clear its storage, or clear your browser's site data for englishtalk.app to remove them.
