These terms apply to the English Talk Android app and the website at englishtalk.app, including the browser version at englishtalk.app/talk (together, "English Talk", "we", "us"), operated by 2Bytes Digital Consulting. By using English Talk you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What English Talk is

English Talk connects people who want to practise spoken English on anonymous, live voice calls with other learners. We are a practice platform, not a school: we do not provide teachers, certificates or guaranteed results.

2. Who can use it

• You must be 18 years or older.
• You are responsible for the device and internet connection you use.

3. How you must behave on calls

Every call is with a real person. You agree not to:

• harass, threaten, abuse or insult anyone, or use sexual or hateful language;
• ask for or share phone numbers, social media handles, addresses or other personal details;
• record other users without their consent;
• advertise, sell, spam, or use the service for anything illegal.

Users can report a partner. We may warn, restrict or permanently block any device that breaks these rules, without refund.

4. Free plan and English Talk Pro

• The free plan lets you practise on calls of up to 15 minutes each.
• English Talk Pro removes the call time limit and lets you choose to call men or women.
• On the website, Pro costs ₹499 for 30 days, paid once through Razorpay. It does not renew automatically. Pro is activated on the browser/device you paid from, as soon as the payment succeeds.
• In the Android app, Pro is sold through Google Play Billing and follows Google Play's payment and refund terms.
• Prices may change in future; any change never affects a period you have already paid for.

5. Availability

We try to keep English Talk running at all times, but calls depend on other learners being online and on everyone's internet connection. We cannot guarantee that a partner will always be available or that every call will connect.

6. Privacy

We do not require an account, name, email or phone number. Calls are not recorded. See the Privacy Policy. When you pay on the website, your payment details are entered on Razorpay's secure checkout; we never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.

7. Limitation of liability

English Talk is provided "as is". We are not responsible for what other users say on calls, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 30 days.

8. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
